AIBOC clarifies............
It could have been understood unambig uously from   our Circular No. 2015/02 dated 8/01/15 that:

1) 12.5 % was not final.
1) 4 days strike scheduled on 21/01/15 to 24/01/15 is not deferred.

Nevertheless, we are receiving constant enquiries from our cadres and members besides few rumours on the issues of final wage settlement and proposed strike action scheduled for 21/01/15 to 24/01/15. With a view to quell all rumours, misunderstandings and also to invite all the cadres to be in readiness to pursue our agitation, we reiterate that:

a) 12.5 % is not final and our endeavour to impress the IBA is on to improve their offer to meet the expectation of the Bank Employees and Officers.
b) Our strike action scheduled from 21/01/15 to 24/01/15 will be carried out as planned, if IBA does not initiate immediate steps to raise their offer to meet the genuine demands and aspirations of the Bank Officers and Employees.

Comrades, AIBOC is committed to strive with all the might in its store to achieve better working condition for the work force of the Banking Sector in general and Bank Officers in particular. While we request all the cadres not to lend ears to the rumours and misinformation, we also request all to magnify our collective power with a conviction to achieve our genuine demands.

they go up 1.5% and you go down 3.5%. you call that negotiation? I dont want to mouth off at the leaders... As they heard or read every adjective in dictionary and outside given to them by common bankers but your thick skin and head is so thick....... I will just leave it at that... have some self respect leaders...some at least.

Band kro drama on 17 Jan leave all the demands just raise pay commission demand only and continued with strike 21 to 24 Jan.

IBA is just playing with the common bankers and Unions are hands in gloves with them. Bankers are just cash donkeys for the govt, dump them with work and then throw some peanuts at them after a lot of struggle. The likelihood of the strikes from 21st to 24th Jan is extremely slim. IBA clearly states in their reply to Unions that the managing committee of IBA will meet on 31st Jan to discuss on wage revision. Unions are clearly taking common bankers for a ride.

what is the fate of today's subgroup meeting with officers?

In IBA words immediately means before the strike date... I e 20.1.15..UFBU taking too much of time for wrote this latter. ie from 7.1.15(last meeting date) to 13.1.15..UFBU not taken this wages revision matter as serious..then how come IBA taken as serious....

These union people are not so transparent and quick as they are in hand in glove with IBA.we should stop subscription .

Strike will be deferred & a pleasing announcement will come on 20 evening...

Why we should wait for union to tell us when to go on strike or not, let's all aam bankers go on nationwide strike from 21-24 Jan irrespective of negotiations outcome

HI ALL,
IS THERE IS ANY WAY TO GO TO COURT AS THERE IS A PARITY IN THE WAGES BETWEEN CENTRAL/STATE CLERKS AND PSB CLERKS. IS UNION SERIOUS ON THIS?. NOW IT SEEMS IBA HAS OPTED FOR DIVIDE AND RULE FORMULA (SEPARATELY CALLING AND MEETING OFFICERS THEN CLERKS AND SUB STAFF). WHAT IS THIS YAAR? WHY WE ARE KEEPING QUITE ON THIS. IS UNION SHARES ANY INFORMATION BEFORE MEETING WITH IBA LIKE WHAT IS THERE AGENDA? THEY KEEP ON REDUCING THE %. THEN FOR FEW MONTHS THEY (UNION) WILL SAY WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY OFFER BELOW XYZ% THEN AFTER REDUCING THE %. ANY WAYS NO PURPOSE IN WASTING TIME WITH THIS UNION PEOPLE. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF INTERLIGENTS. THEY THEMSELVES DONT KNOW WHAT TO SPEAK WITH IBA. THEN HOW COME THEY WILL INFORM TO US.
