*In today's negotiation with IBA*

We discussed various important issues like Increase in wage hike %,
Merging spl allowance with basic pay, 
Nps at 14%, PLI,
Family pension,
Updation,
Retirees Medical scheme, etc.
On NPS at 14% IBA was positive.
Cost implications on other issues were discussed.
It was agreed to crystallize the cost impact  on these issues after which final decision will be taken.
On impact on pendion fund,  acturial calculations will be gone into by ufbu.
On non financial issues sub committee on officers issues will be held on 21st and on workmen issues on 28th.
Ufbu meeting will be held on 28th afternoon.

Do not expect anything better from these worthless, spineless, and coward veteran so called leaders. Bankers will get arrear of 30 months. It will be settled in the month of april 2020. Officers union also become spineless.I think they have forgotten their proposed indefinitie strike from nov 2019.

The BPS and Pension issues are continuously discussed in every meeting and consumed and consumed but not able to deliver the goods.Finally the DFS will dictate the settlement wage terms and dismantle the BPS in banking industry.

In today's round of talks with IBA our we raised following issues-
1- Tea was not good so next time tea should be ginger tea
2- Samosas were cold , please take care only hot samosas to be served
3- Cashews were plain,,keep in mind next time that should be salted and roasted
4- Pastries quality wasn't good,,it should be more creamy
5-Improvement in supply of chilled cold drinks
6-Updation of cookie's brand and they should be sugar free
It was decided to clinch these issues at the earliest

*XI BIPARTITE SETTLEMENT*

(Talks on Friday, 15 Nov 2019)


Today's talks were great disappointment. Nothing worth mention came up.

*Gist of Discussions*

1. IBA informed that yet two banks have not given mandate for Negotiations upto scale VII. But they will get it.

2. About PLI, That is "Performance Linked Incentive". Unions asked IBA to decide about parameters on which PLI will be fixed. But they have given In Principle consent to implementation of *PLI.*

3. Pension related issues were discussed. With the same quantum of Pension, Load on a/c of it has risen substantially because of increase in Life Expectancy. It has gone up to 80 to 84 years on average. IBA informed.

4.Regarding Spl Allow : If Spl Allow is merged with Basic, Contribution to Pension Fund by banks goes up substantially. It increases Loading amt.

5. Increase in Family Pension increases load factor due to same reasons as Pension. Hence Pension provision needs fresh calculations. It needs appointment of professional Actuaries. Unions are requested to suggest two Actuaries on their behalf. IBA has also given papers of fresh calculations for provisions on a/c of Pension.

5. There was suggestion from Unions on shifting of Base of Index for DA calculations. Price Index Series should be latest.

6. Privileged Leave : Demand for increase in PL accumulation and encashment on superannuation level was taken up. No conclusion.

7. Medical Insurance Premium for Pensioners was discussed.

8. New Pension Scheme : Suggestions to make it more attractive were discussed.

9. Thereafter both parties agreed for formation if Small Committee Meetings, which are scheduled
For Officers on *21 Nov* and For Workmen on *27/28 Nov*

In these meetings certain issues will be finalised and then taken up in Main Meeting subsequently.

IBA and govt doesnt see this bipartite settlement as delayed. 2007 settlement was settled in 2010. And 2012 settlement concluded in 2015. So according to govt and IBA the settlement will actually be due in 2020. And so the periodicity of 5 years bipartite settlement will be maintained. The unions have facilitated this. But i do not think that venting the anger out on the union leaders will suffice. Govt and IBA want union free industry. Bipartite settlement is the only thing which has kept the unions relevant.
Friends remember one thing we will never have a socialist government ever in this country. Government of the day is no less than a corporate body. It acts and behaves like a business organisation. So please think for yourselves how you can put up a resistance before such a behemoth force. Unions have no choice but to mediate(mostly by compromise ) to just stay afloat.
People who have tasted netahood in this country seldom relinquish it for the greater good. This is exacly the case of union leaders. But to those who advocate leaving unions and slapping leaders i request you to think even if our service condition is 1% better than people working in private sector its because of unions.
Young bank employees of which i am also part of have sealed their fate when they have joined this industry. We have been failed definitely but there are multiple facets to this.
ALL BECAUSE SOMEONE SOMEWHERE IS BENIFITTING FROM ALL OF THIS AND THE GOVERNMENT IS GETTING ITS CUT FROM Mr........

Are you a union chamchaa ? Why are you opposing slapping of union leaders ?
For you kind info, local union leaders have stopped coming to our branches in BOI fearing slapping because in 5 to 6 branches staff went to the extent of catching their collar and tearing it.

This time negotiations start from feb 2017. But in casecearlier wage revision it started only after passing 7 -8 month after date. Therefore this time it is delayed by govt if see thevtotal time after starting of negotiations.

Whether there was a meeting at all? Or these leaders were kicked on their back by the illegal child of govt named as IBA. At least minutes suggest no meeting because it is a copy paste of previous meeting minutes

Dear all.. don't loose ur temper and patience.... just one thing keep in mind... whether ufbu signed anything or having agreed to with iba? NO.... agitation, strike.... its all last sort only.... its very risky and dangerous at this stage.... considering the strong and majority of the central govt... and regarding the leaders.... friends u are having opportunity to meet only local, low level functionaries of various unions in routine... not big shots who are appearing the nego table.... decision takers.... deliberately or not playing well..... wait and see.... as such no signing.... plz don't be panic..... all past settlements were like only..... if we show non cooperation, resignation now.... will u plz think patiently.... who will be benefitted? Whether any individual can go ahead with talks? Or any group will be welcomed? Answer again is NO.... so plz.... be calm.... and enjoy the debates and comments here.... Everything was mentioned in last meeting but what is percentage increase from last accepted 12% is not mentioned anywhere.why? Were there no discussion on this matter? I do not agree with the negative comments in this blog and that too the words used but UFBU leadership must take in to account the frustration and sentiment of members very seriously.please be serious and try to conclude the agreement in the coming meetings.
