Selection of
date is frustrating!
Regarding second
part of strike.i.e., relay strike in different dates
in different
regions:
It is a new
concept and new attempt.
Logic behind may
be more disturbance of banking transactions with least
loss to
employees. Absence of clearing house operations in different regions will be felt
for all 4 days.
Media
telecast/publicity/talk will be there for four days.
All new concepts
will be opposed at the first attempt.
We can’t judge
the impact/success of this type of strike at this stage.
Let us wait for
the result and keep our comments resereved.
This type of strike
(circlewise) is experimented in UCO bank
in Oct/Nov.
2013.
It is by one individual
bank.

From last two yrs we doing sm thng... giving dates.... does these dates really matter...??? Most of my colleagues r looking for other opportunities and remaining hv lost hope for good settellment. As a normal banker and comman man I am totally in dilemma wat to do n whr to go??? Does anybody has answer to these questions???

Leave the banking industry as it has nothing to offer......
Every one should unanimously boycott this strike,why waste our salary of one day,when it is not going to bear any fruit,and consequences are clear to everybody. Say no to one day strike,only indefinite strike can sustain the cause.
These Union netas,in the name of collective bargaining/bipartite settlements, brought down the status and salary of bank officers from the level of IAS Officers to present level where bank officers are being equated with clerks and inspectors.Pay Commissios will have High Court judges,eminent economists,senior IAS officers while in Biprtite meetings IBA and Union/association netas are present.IBA comprise of scum of bankers.Union/Association netas are devoid of intellect,honesty and vision.They only thinkof subscriptions and levy.

There is nothing like that even people who compare pay commission do not know, it takes two years for that too, and you have no say on what you want.
Do not go on strike.Slap the Chamchas of IBA on face.
Plan for a business...give the same time & efforts to your business. You will earn a lot ...that will be your profit with your family life, social life and ultimately a satisfied life. I am not only suggesting you but going to do the same....regards

This is really sad and disappointing, the unions are not in mood to make these administrators realize the power of banker as society changer.
Who is to blame IBA the members of those bankers who were once scale 1, Scale 2 and today after being ED, MD CHAIRMAN have forgotten those days where they were also part of these unions and used to fight and blame their seniors.
Then what has changed seems nothing blsming someone and when you are assigned the same task and you do the same is sad.
Its hard to belive that salary which is right of labours employees has now become BEGGARY, JOB A SLAVERY THAT TOO EDUCATED SLAVERY.
Has anyone heard from any parents that what would you want your children to be???
SOME SAY CRICKETER, Some ACTOR, Some Civil service, Some Professor or Teacher etc... But has any heard of BANKER because the faith, respect, dignity is getting lost and see the situation who is marketing it publicly the staff working themselves to their family, friends, relatives, bypassers etc.
People are willing to join and leave once they see te DIRTY PICTURE. Old staff wants voluntary retirement and unfortunately those who remain are either close to family or love gifts sharing while providing banking services stating revision is not the only way.....FUNNY AND SAD

One day strike on 12.11.2014 is going to bear nothing just our one day salary will be deducted. If union is really serious then why they are bycoting legitimate demand of pay commission. Pay commission will nullify the identity of union leader and to save their skin they are calling one day strike to show concern for fighting for banker welfare. Mr Modi is very keen to bring reform in banking sector and he is thinking seriously to undermine influence to unions by bringing banker under pay commission which union is definitely going to oppose. If good settlement does not take place then there will be severe talent crises in banking sector but union leader are just calculating there subscription and interested in incresing there number. Every month we pay subscription to these union, but friend if we whould have given even 0.1% of our subscription to top most supreme court lawyer then we would have long back able to tell our demand to deaf IBA and common consensus must have arrived in bank favour. Union are now planning to do region wise strike on four different days in December and asserting it will cause maximum damage with minimum loss to employee but other side of coin is that none of government work will stop with total loss to employee.
Who sai pay comm takes time...pay commission will be settled on time...6TH PAY COMMISSION WHICH IS PENDING IN 2016 THE GROUN WORK FOR IT HAD ALREADY BEEN STARTED....the main culprit is ufbu
Railway always in loss getting 75% bonus.I don't know for what.bank always profit making industry no bonus no good salary.settlement word is now 100 years old.
If we r really worried about our future in bank as a carrier let a make our demands rigid with a firm hand instead with only eyewash like one day strike better do indefinite strike for at least a month
Bankers has no family life no social life either just they are expected to carry on dirty politics facing management on one side and customer on the other side if they are not smart they got either slap or fire

Let be merged all banks in one Bank in India. Then you will see all so called leaders will be vanished all on a sudden. All highly paid executives will vanished. Pay commission may be introduced then.
Union leaders are like pets of iba & sham less ministers very sad. New union should be form by young bankers specially women's thisgovts will makes the fool of the educate slaves. As the uneducate people elect uneducate politican
Ventilating such anger will not do any good. There are so many ifs and buts in strike. We had strong bargaining power in III BPS and thereafter due to so many factors best known to the union/association leaders the strength of the unions have been deteriorating and we lost the bargaining power. But still we could manage handsome increase in the last settlement. Indefinite strike is the last resort which can not be taken in haste. Normally only once in 5 years we received arrears. We received arrears in 2005 and then 2010. Now also we will receive in 2015. So friends let us hope for good revision and wait for a few more weeks - Venkateswaran T R
