Present govt is anti bankers and wanted to ruin bankers families . We should kick thicket back this time. We would not hesitate to cut through this govt in 2019- and our union should be banned from any kind contribution without delay

Massive strike for at least one week including saturday and Sunday.. 26th May to 2nd June, 2018. Also ATMs are to be closed for the entire period. This is the only way now to make IBA and Govt understand why we are important. It is a shame that they had offered only 2% increment.

what an offer. leaders are responsible for this sad state of banking staff. in the pervious settlement special pay was excluded for retirement benefits. this time GOD knows what all will be excluded and these so called buddijeevi leaders will sign on the dotted lines. forget about strikes and all those things. as long as the present leaders take part in the negotiations only some peanuts can be expected.

Union should go on an indefinite strike and should talk with IBA only after a 5-day strike.

Are we beggers that the iba will decide our salary. And what a joke 2%.Now our inion will ask them to 5% and the settelment will done on 3%.

On behalf of IBA following Officials were present :
1. Mr. R. K.Thakkar, IBA Chairman & Chairman UCO Bank.
2. Mr. Jayakumar, Chairman BOB
3. Mr. Rajkiran Rai, Chairman Union Bank
4. Mr. Kannan, CEO of IBA.
and other executives.

Details of discussion :
÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷
1. About *'Medical Insurance* Scheme', various options were discussed at length. Discussion remained inconclusive. It was decided to have separate meeting on this issue.
2. Discussion on Variable Pay remained inconclusive. UFBU opposed the notion of *Variable Pay.*
3. IBA made it clear that talks will be held ONLY upto Scale III officers. Because of fractured mandate received from Banks.
4. Initial Offer for *Salary Revision* :
IBA said,"Due to deteriorating financial condition of Banks revealed by recent quarterly results and also disappointing results are expected for forthcoming quarters." IBA made offer of *2 % hike in Pay Slip.* UFBU protested and refused the paltry offer. IBA asked about unions about their expectations. UFBU told them to go by 'Charter of Demands' , which states clearly the expectations. UFBU asked IBA to stop wasting time by making such offer which is mockery.
UFBU deciding its course of action.

IBA said,"Due to deteriorating financial condition of Banks revealed by recent quarterly results and also disappointing results are expected for forthcoming quarters."

The operating profit of every bank is on the rise but because of provisioning due to NPA the banks are incurring Net Loss. So what is GOI, RBI & IBA are doing to recover the NPA. As far as I know the RBI & GOI is only focussing on the framework of NPA classification so that more and more NPAs are classified and now every month. But why are they not making any laws for recovery from wilful defaulters so as to reduce the NPA.

Oh! Sorry I forgot like every other Indian the Political-Bussiness nexus - you help us financially before elections we will help you after elections.

And the IBA/PSB officials for their own personal benefits do not speak about the issue and are more focused towards useless methods like demonstrations for recovery and reducing expenses through austerity measures like cutting down employees allowances, removing security guards & generators, not repairing/replacing basic infrastructurural materials etc.

And did I tell you about the loan wave off announced by the various state Govt as part of their pre-election manifesto to gain votes results in more NPAs as the peoples think that even their loans would be waived off so why pay.

In the end who pays for all this, we the poor, hard working(beyond banking hours and in holidays too) never recognised Bankers...

On one end the GOI says the PSBs have to do financial inclusion and implement govt policies as you are govt backed banks but on the other end they say banks are profit making organisations and should earn profit. How do both things go hand in hand...The same thing goes for Railways they are doing social welfare and not earning profit but are they facing the same heat???

Its High time. We should fight for our rights. The quantum of salary increase is reflection of the government's stand / view about bankers.

lets join hands together and focus on our core activities only. Stop all other schemes which the government has been pushing through our throat. It has been the bankers only who have relentlessly worked to make all the government schemes being successful.

All Bankers across scales should join hands together for an indefinite strike till we get Salary hike similar to what the Central Government employees got i.e. 2.57 times of the 6th pay commission. The salary increase should be consumerate to the quantum of increase for CG employees.

Also the other demands like all saturdays as off.

In each bipartite this type drama takes place .So don't be upset. After a lapse of 28/29 months long drama 14 to 15 percent will be settled foregoing 5 to 8 days salary. OK.

Dear comrades,
This is not the offer given by IBA. It is the directive of Finance Ministry. If something goes wrong, the Fin Min intervene as if they are not aware; if it clicks, they will boast as if they have achieved. This is the hatred developed by the Fin.Min over Bank employees. We need not go in for strike and loose salary. We will declare 'work to rule' and need not loose salary. We will make the Fin.Min realize what they have to swallow. The loss making insurance companies reached a good settlement last time. Only the Bankers are at a pity. With the burden of leaders like CHV, this time getting a decent settlement is very difficult. This is the right time for a Banking Pay Commission. The one point agenda is demanding a BPC

IBA has just spat on the face of 10lakh bank employee and officers minus the officials above scale IV. This govt. by the formulation of banks board beaureau and its subsequent recommendation has made its intentions clear that it wants to reward the top executives of bank. Hence we see that settlement negotiations are limited to officers in scale III. IBA is represented by the top most executives of few PSBs. As is the case of MPs deciding their own salary. Bank executives are also going to decide their own salary and are going to reward themselves huge raises. These CEO/MD of PSBs in connivance with the Govt. have mocked us all big time. 2% increase for an entry level employee is an increase of Rupees 468 only. Is this a joke??? Basic component of Annual increment is more than that. Now back to the executives; IBA has cited loss owing to bad loans. Friends you will be aware that the bad loans which actualy dent the financial system are all sanctioned by CAC circle level and Board at HO level. These committes are comprised of top executives. So who are actualy to be blamed. Govt. is hand in gloves with the corporate defaulters of this country. Naturaly Govt. wants to reward the executives who are actualy responsible for the bad loans. Its high time for the unions to give a clarion call to all the members to go on an indefinite strike against management and gov of India. Please dont let the evil intentions of these Govt. to see daylight. Otherwise dark days are coming for the Aam Banker!!!!!!

Even for children school fee school management clearly mention every year 10% rise in school fee.

mil gaya modi ka 2%wala lullu aur jetli ka tullu iba ,govt and union leaders are tharki no.01.govt is busy only for election and nothing to do with wage revision for bankers but interested in their own salary increase in parliament.it is shame that we praise these tharki leaders as pm and fm of the country .we should openly criticize these leaders at various forums and social media so they feel ashamed of giving only jumlabazi.

Unknown said...

I was a hard core supporter of Modi, but not any more..We implemented all the govt.schemes with full enthusiasm..During demonetisation, even though our body was giving in due to tiredness,we the bankers continued serving the public just because we had faith in our PM.We thought here is a leader who is there to make a difference and who understands the problems prevailing in our country..But with a heavy heart I have to say that our PM has disappointed us big time..If he truely acknowledges the service rendered by the bankers at various times,he has to step in and issue some directives because I don’t think IBA is in a mood to settle the issue any time soon..And about our union leaders, the less said the better..Those leaders are just parasites!
So,let’s start a signature campaign and submit a memorandum to PMO office seeking his intervention and resolution of our bipartite settlement at the earliest..If it still doesn’t work dan my motto would be “BJP HATAO BANKERS BACHAO”

These piling NPAs once produced a good chunk of profit in PSBs due to incorrect classification and the PSBs have paid these profits to mostly the government and the share holders. Not a single paise was shared among staff. And now when PSBs are in loss we the bankers are to bear it alone. We are already dyeing hard with the work pressure and work load. We heard many financial analysts and top beaurocrats opining about wasting public money on PSBs by financing. Let me remind you people something. PSBs have provided the government with thousands of crores of rupees profit in the past. They played a major part in the development of the nation and helping the people in need. What we call NPA is mainly constituted of corporate loans MSME farm credit and educational loans. Without these lakhs of crores of rupees we wouldn't have reached thus far as a nation. It is shame on the part of the borrowers who have shown their back on us bankers. We bankers/PSBs have always been the backbone of the nation. Please don't make us beg which we are already doing in day to day work in front of our NPA customers.
