The text of UFBU Circular No. 22 dt. 14-3-2014 on the outcome of the discussions with IBA .
“In our Circular No. 20 dated 3rd March 2014, we had informed about the details of the discussions held with the IBA on that day. Another round of discussions were held today in IBA office, Mumbai between IBA and UFBU. IBA’s team was led by Mr R.K.Dubey (CMD, Canara Bank), Chairman of the IBA’s Core Committee, Mr M.V.Tanksale, Chief Executive, IBA and other Executives. UFBU was represented by leaders of all our constituent unions.
Carrying forward the discussions held in the last round of talks, some of the important issues like introduction of 5 Day Banking, regulated working hours for officers, etc. were discussed further. While appreciating our viewpoints, IBA wanted further inputs from the Unions in order to examine the issues and to take up the matter with higher authorities. We stressed on the need for providing quarters/ housing accommodation to all employees, particularly to those recruited in the Banks in the recent years.
IBA opined that the matter needs further discussion at their level. We also demanded that 100% of the medical/hospitalisation expenses incurred by the employees and officers for self/family members should be reimbursed. IBA suggested that the mediclaim scheme proposed by them earlier can be customized in such a way to be handled by the Banks instead of insurance companies or third party administrators. We requested the IBA to furnish details in this regard whereafter the issue will be further studied and discussed.
On our demand for improvement in the Family Pension scheme, extension of 100% DA formula to pre-2002 pensioners, etc., IBA was considerate and agreed to work out the cost implications to enable them to take a view on these demands. To our demand on periodical updation of pension on occasions of wage revision, IBA felt that the issue has to be examined, in its entirety, looking at the cost involved, outflow, etc. On reverting to old pension scheme from NPS, IBA expressed their inability to accede to our demand but we reiterated the same.
To our demand regarding compassionate appointment scheme, IBA conveyed the clarifications sought from the Government to which we explained that UFBU’s view is that the compassionate appointment scheme should be on the lines of the Government scheme and urged upon them to expedite the matter.
To our demand for improvement in the IBA’s earlier offer on wage increase, IBA informed that they are not able to make further offer.
It was decided to hold the next round of discussions in the middle of April, 2014 and the date would be finalized. Further developments will be informed to all our units/members in due course.
Sd. M V Murali, Convener”
With greetings
iba ka 10% offer chalega, but ufbu ko atleast 5 days working aur 100% medical ki baat manwana parega. kgp
ReplyDelete5 days....Union leaders can never try for this seriously.... this is just to make us fool....they will roam around pension only as most of them are at verge of retirement. ...
ReplyDeleteDear Mr.Kumar, as u r the sincere unionist like me, what u found and understood from this extract as positive. Finally they told that IBA shows their inability of making further offer. Remaining issues like pension, 5 days, Working hours etc., nothing is promised by IBA to accept. We can convince our minds ny saying 'IBA looking positively'. That's y young people r giving some unwanted comments. OK let's see. Days to go.
ReplyDeleteWhen nothing is accepted and basically wage what was the reason that unions not declare strike before election why we passing time
DeleteDear Leaders, DO you ever heard the word 'SHAME'???!!!
ReplyDeleteI am still confused and wanted to know from My UFBU leaders from which side you guys are playing. When they said in the meeting they will not be able to make further increase in the wage why UFBU has not given notice for indefinite strike, I know it is all fixed and UFBU knew it from very beginning that if they will not give notice for strike then they can not go for strike in march as per legal obligations. You guys yourself diluting your image you will see that in new financial year many people will revolt against UFBU and will not contribute even a single penny for you. IBA and UF BU are worthless, shameless, useless and bloody blood suckers. I pray to god you son and daughters get into government banks and start from officer grades. BOYCOTTTTTTTT IBA BOYCOTTTTTTTT UFBU....DILUTE BOTH OF THEM.
ReplyDeleteIt is imperative that talks for XI th BPS for 1.11.2017,be started immediately.Given the levels of IQ of the negotiating teams it will take more than 5 years to reach an end.
ReplyDeleteSee what these worthies have achieved after completely wasting over 2 years in negotiations.
Is It means ki wage revision nahi hoga?
ReplyDeleteSir final settelment kab tak hone wali hey?
Who the hell is writing 10% chalega but 5 days weak convince karo...listen we are not beggers here if government can pay a railway ticket officer 40000 rs. pm and a flat hospital facility and recreational clubs and etc. etc. even after every year booking losses why they can not raise our salaries even after performing from last 10 years continuously. minimum 25% increment and 5 days both the demands should get fulfilled this is our right and they have to give us.
ReplyDeleteEmployees, it is my humble request that the time has come for beginning of a new revolution. Ex Delhi CM Kejriwal has proved it that it is the common man who forms the Government of his choice and its for their development not for any political party development. The UFBU is a constituent body of Unions formed by us and for us.
ReplyDeleteThe IBA and UFBU are playing divide and rule game among the employees. They have formed two groups amongst ourselves visually old pension scheme employees and new pension scheme employees. It is clearly evident from the lines of demand they are projecting and even getting considered.
On their(old pension scheme employees ie UFBU members) demand for improvement in the family pension scheme, extension of 100% DA formula to pre 2002 pensioners, IBA was considerate and agreed to workout the cost implications.
Whereas on the demand for reverting to old pension scheme from NPS, IBA expressed their inability to accede the demand.
UFBU can u please clarify the meaning of stressing on the need for providing housing accomodation to all employees particularly to those recruited in the recent years. UFBU don't make diplomacy by using the words for newly recruited employees.
Instead, project the demand in lines of central government employees who get HRA or well furnished accommodation.
UFBU need not to lure new entrants by using such words. Benefit will be enjoyed by all. If at all if you want to do anything for the new comers revert the current NPS back to old pension scheme.
Dear all,
ReplyDeletewhy don't we resign from the unions and create a new one manned by younsters.
Next talk will be held next month ??? R they really serious ??? then what was need of strikes.. Seems, This union is making fool of us. I am a women Clerk I have 6 month old child my husband is not with me.. n when I went to union for transfer request.. guess what they said.. its a common prob .. we r not here to fight for these silly things... I seriously doubt unions credibility.
ReplyDeletePeople on Both the sidea of table r relaxed nd not bothered on d delay. UFBU non sence and worst negotiators... they shud not b supportd at all.
ReplyDeleteall the leaders thinking about their own pension nothing....sirf pension jyada milni chahiye uss ke bare me soch rahe hai ham jaise naye log din bhar 2 senior ke jitna kaam karte hai aur hamari salary inse aadhi bhi nahi hai...yaha par bhi hame family pension nahi uske bare me koi decision nahi sirf 2002 ke baad uniform pension chahiye inko...naya clrk double kaam karke bhi 15000 me ghista rahe, inko uski koi chinta nahi... strike rahi ki sabse pahele ham jate hai aur inko bps me sirf pension hi ek issue dikhta hai...mai aaj se union se quit kar raha hu...deduction bhi band kar raha hu sab aisa hi karo dosto ye sirf apna pet bharrna jante hai....
ReplyDeleteNothig new
ReplyDeletesettling fot 10% will be less than peanuts...Minimum 20 - 25 hike should be given. for the amount of pressure & work loan bank employees are bearing banking employees are highly underpaid in comparision to other staff like Railways and othe Govt Sector jobs.....If IBA is not considerate on our issues then we should protest in the last week of march/ ist week of Apil...
ReplyDeleteFriends...aise hi chalta raha to next five years me banks me tale lagne lag jayenge....
ReplyDeleteLets make a new kind of strike...all the officers should work till 5 pm till the demands are met. No late sitting, no salary cut. What do you say?
ReplyDeleteWe few friends have already started this... Its better idea
DeleteResign from unions
ReplyDeleteSubmit request for re-credit of salary on strike day giving a declaration you were not on strike.
Private banks like axis offers 10-30% hike every year. We are ridiculed with a 10% hike after 2 years of 'talks' ????
Are you not ashamed of praising these unions Mr.Kumar ???
How many days IBA required to take the matter with higher authorities? 5th marchko hi to vo FMse discuss karne wale the...abhi tak baat nahi hui kya phir...? kitne din aur lagane wale hai knows only GOD...!
ReplyDeleteWe youngsters should form new union.leaders have got pension in last settlement& will ask for pension hike in this.we will neither get pension nor good salary& will earn profits in future to pay their pension
ReplyDeleteha ha ha you guys will no longer be a banker, u guys will be beggers....ha ha ha
ReplyDeleteUFBU leaders (most of them retiring before next bipartite) clinched pension option in the last settlement and wants pension revision in this bipartite. They are not at all serious about reversal of NPS. My corpus in NPS along with bank's contribution (rs. 203000) just increased by 3000 in 3 years. It may be less than the principal amount at the time of my retirement in 2042. Even the bank's are not providing OD facility to those covered under NPS. I want reversal of NPS in all the sectors.
ReplyDeletetarikh pe tarikh... tarikh pe tarikh.........and finaly we get babaji ka thulluu....
ReplyDeleteOur union is doing exactly the way the govt wants them to do.it is time to think differently my fellow bankers.union is negotiating for themselves not for us.it is all under table work
ReplyDeleteYe kaha aa gaye ham, yu bheekh mangte mangte, ufbu ke naam pe de de iba,
ReplyDeleteBura na mano holi hai.
Good news-11th bps ki ghosna ho gayi hai,10th bps will coincide with 11th so it is cancelled.
For young bankers demand like switching from NPS to old pension scheme is most important and these non capable union members are not taking this matter seriously it will create a gap between young bankers n old one n will result in serious damage to bank n union .
ReplyDeleteProbable good settlement will be 18 percent increment switching from NPS to old pension scheme n 5day banking.
All these 3 demand are crucial n need of the hour and if these union leaders cant acheive this much than they have no right to settle the negotiation being a representative of banker
These Union leaders and IBA members both are on the verse of retirement. I am 100% sure that all the pension related demands would get full fill. After all every1 wants to think about their own life. Nobody wants to think about others. This is highly SHAMEFULL. Our own representative is stabbing us openly.
ReplyDeleteAfter Looking At This Process, I Have Changed My Mind, i Have cleared Ibps PO-3 , but Now I Dont Want To Join Bank ,insted I Will Sit Home And Prepare For SSC and Other Govt Exam, now I Realize That Other Govt Job Is Much Better Than Banking In Terms Of Salary And Work Pressure, So Bye Bye Banking Sector..
ReplyDeleteGood decision and best wishes.
Deletei think bankers will have to fight against ufbu first, because it is evident from the events so far that ufbu people are supporting IBA cuase rather than bank employees.they have proved that they have sold the interests of employees for their own interests
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteDear Banker friends,
Our theme should be " no Union, No subscription fee, no levy ".
Itna guts hai to union chhod kyu nahi dete.. dam hai to dikhao.. kutto sa bhonkna band karo
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha
ReplyDeletebafoon bana rahin kya
govt ko bhagado
chidambaram ko posting se uuusting karo
Jabhi hamari wage settlment achi hogi
I believe now the young generation has to capture the ufbu leaders chairs.they must kicked out .they are fuckerrrrrrrr
ReplyDeleteYe kab tak aise hota rahega ?? Apni takat kab tekhavoge
ReplyDeleteIT WOULD BE BETTER TO OPEN A PAN SHOP THAN TO JOIN BANK FOR JUST RS.500 PER DAY WORKING HARD WHOLE DAY. BANK IS a KING AND employees are slaves.Do not join bank If u want to live happily. No leaves , 12 hrs work, max risk, be begger at the door of customers and get scolded , no respect only responsibilities.
ReplyDeleteit is just impossible to convert NPS to the old pension scheme for the UNION. this is more so as GOVT employees from 2004 comes under NPS,
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha.. I couldn't control my laugh..
ReplyDeletemain toh union chor dunga par tera ky hoga. tu toh bank main jab karne ki kabil hi nahin...tu bhi kya IBA aur UFBU se mila hua hai...

ReplyDeleteMost Imp thing is new banking licences are going to be given. Big players going to dominate Indian banking industry.
ReplyDeletePSU bankers are forced to accept the management decision. why because if they go on strike then customers will join new upcoming pvt banks.
o o o ayyo run out ho gaya re....ha ha ha
ReplyDeleteDear friends
ReplyDeleteThe posts reflect the anger and eager of bank employees that they are not rewarded to the extend they put in their efforts in the interest of the nation. It is also a genuine concern that neither the IBA nor the UFBU have taken the pay revision talks seriously as the time spent in bilateral talks on pay increase appears to be very marginal. It is unfortunate that issues other than pay occupy majority of the time in the talks. While so, all the commentators have just expressed their anguish and agony and no one has given any good suggestion or proposal or authentic information to the union leaders to enable them to take it up with the IBA. If such a good proposal is given, then it is for the leaders to take such issues on priority rather than harping on some irrelevant issues. All the best for the bank employees in their unity ahead and achievement in their bargain strengths etc ....
Your well wisher ....
Kya Sunday, Monday ko bank chalu rehne wale hai?
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame, wage revision iin central and state govts is attractive. But in banking sector ........ ? though we have paid our lives for banking ,leaving our famly aside. For political benefits the govts in state and central declare hike in salaries. Who will take care for us . Unions ...? Govt....? Dear new commers in banking sector , think before writing bank exam. If u want to join be ready to leave ur family this is the fate of bank employees. Though we have paid our lives and worked hard with last drop of blood no one recognize us as we r not vote bankers
