If spl pay as introduced in 10th bp is considered for superannuation benefit , the retrospective effect from last bp should be done positively.Otherwise a large number of retiree will be punished.CHV and others should keep in mind that they are also retiree or going to be retired soon if they are not compensated otherwise by IBA.

*Core Committee Meeting (Workmen)* held on 28 November 2019
As decided during Main Negotiations Committee Meeting held on 15 Nov, '19 : Core Committee (Workmen) Meeting was held today at IBA Office, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai.
*Discussions*
*1.* Adoption of New Series of C. P. Index for D. A. calculation and formula for DA calculation to be decided during the next Main Negotiating Committee Meeting.
*2.* Union demand for PL accumulation upto 300 days & it's encashment on retirement to be put before Main Committee.
*3.* For Adoption of Child upto 1 yr ML agreed with certain conditions.
*4.* Sabbatical Leave to all employees. The matter is left to individual banks.
*5.* LFC : There will be improvement in distance permitted to Sub Staff.
*6.* LFC : For Workmen employees travel by own car permitted. At par with provision for officers.
*7.* LFC : with package tour not permitted.
*8.* Outsourcing : From the earlier clause " as per RBI guidelines to be done for non core activities." It is agreed to *remove words as per RBI guidelines.*
*9.* OT : For simplified & improved method note is submitted by Unions. To be discussed further.
*10.* Punishment : For gross misconduct, *fine* as punishment may be removed.
*11.* Ex Servicemen : Only the guidelines issued by "Dept of Financial Services" of Govt of India to be followed uniformly.
*12.* Unions wanted time gap between Business hours and Working hours should be 2 hours instead of present 1 hour. This demand was rejected outright by the IBA.
Whatever is accepted is subject to final approval at Main Committee level.
Negotiations may take decisive turn during next meeting on *3 Dec, 2019.*

Union leaders are bastards. IBA takes full advantage of their old age (more than 75 years). In reality retired people should not be legally allowed to be part of any negotiation.
In most our demands IBA is reluctant to even discuss, then what the leaders are doing in the meeting, I cannot understand. They are not even realizing their strength before them. Spineless leaders.
Another round of negotiations was held today between IBA and UFBU in the IBA office in Mumbai. IBA team was led by Shri. Rajkiran Rai. G (MD-CEO, Union Bank of India), Chairman of the Negotiating Committee and from UFBU, representatives of all the nine constituent unions were present. Discussion was held on following points.
Increase in wage hike %age : From our side, we demanded that their earlier offer of 12% is not at all adequate and hence IBA should improve their offer. IBA informed that looking to various constraints of Banks profitability, it would be difficult to improve their offer to which we did not agree. IBA thereafter stated that they would discuss amongst themselves and let us know during the next round of meeting.
Mandate issue: IBA informed that the issue of mandate upto scale VII stands resolved.
Merger of Special Allowance with Basic pay: We insisted that the present special allowance be merged with basic pay while working out the revised pay/scale under the ensuing settlement. IBA informed that our demand can be accepted if the additional cost involved towards superannuation benefits is found to be affordable. It was agreed that the cost would be worked out in detail and a final decision would be taken thereafter.
Improvement in Family Pension: IBA reiterated that they are seized of the matter and already in touch with the different stake holders to get it approved at the earliest possible.
Updation of pension: IBA stated that while they appreciate the demand for updation of pension, looking to the different categories of pensioners of the past ranging from 1986, the cost is very high to which the unions demanded the data to get it calculated from their actuaries. IBA sought the names of the actuaries from UFBU side to whom the data was to be shared for computing the cost.
PLI: From UFBU we pointed out our concerns especially linking ROA as an ingredient for the purpose of working out the performance matrix and creation of more steps in the gross operating profits so that the maximum number of banks get the benefit of PLI. IBA appreciated our view points and agreed to provide us with a revised formula for our consideration, where after the issue would be discussed further. 5 Day Banking: Regarding 5 day banking IBA advised that they are seized of the importance of the issue and assured the unions that they will try to take it forward. However, there were constraints on account of other stake holders. We insisted that this issue should be addressed and resolved on priority.
IBA informed that they would like to sort out all these issues at the earliest so that we can move towards reaching understandings to finalise the settlement. We informed that we would also seek an early settlement provided our justified demands are considered favourably.
For last 5 meetings ufbu says increase offer, iba says we need time Ufbu says merge special allowance iba says we need to calculate cost Ufbu says 5 days banking, iba says not possible.
Iba just made ufbu a chutiya. Only time pass.idiots. no action nothing. Go and come back.
"Updation of pension: IBA sought the names of the actuaries from UFBU side to whom the data was to be shared for computing the cost." - So last meeting UFBU had asked for the data for computing cost. This meeting they have asked for the name of the actuary. I think next meeting they will give the name for the actuary. The meeting after that IBA would inform UFBU that the given actuary is not acceptable. Then the next meeting UFBU would come up with another actuary...and the story goes on and on. I wonder what these corrupt, sold out,selfish union leaders think of bank employees. I wonder whom they are kidding. In this age of mobile, email and video conferencing I takes them one month to ask to share the name of actuaries. Are they trying to tell us that they couldn't have asked that by email or phone!? Which century are these morons pretending to be living in. Traitors and blood sucking leaches! I have watched both my bank manager father working 14 hours a day and almost seven days a week for ten years till he retired in 2015. I have been following these wage revision processes for the past ten years and it has become absolutely clear that these 'leaders' are worse than even Indian politicians. Unless they are thrown out and entire union system is completely overhauled there is utterly no hope for the bank employees.
This will continue for a decade iba will keep on saying we need time, we need to calculate cost and ufbu will come back happily....buch of unprofessional idiots chosen by members of association....

What a waste of public money by IBA. They call meeting without any intention to proceed further. Probably these GMs of negotiating committee are wed up with their spouses and love to enjoy tea, snacks and chitchat at the cost of public money. We bankers please file an RTI application, how much money is wasted by IBA in name of such false meeting since inception, then a complaint may be filed accordingly.
Friends there is only one solution. Beat CHV with chappals till he dies. These union leaders are real culprits. They purposely delay the settlement hand in gloves with IBA just to extract more levy because in most banks levy is a certain percentage of arrears amount. The more the delay the higher is the arrears amount and do more is the levy.

Govt has made sbi very big by merging it's subsides but it so big to show profits after merger and RBi found under reported NEAR. Motive behind making not known. To make big is not guarantee for happiness for all. Therefore. Please reverse mergers.

Union leaders angrily stated that they don't mind 2% less settlement but there should be no compromise on quality of snacks and high grade tea and biscuits must be provided.

WAGE REVISION – TALKS HELD WITH IBA ON 05-12-2019
Another round of negotiations was held today between IBA and UFBU in the IBA office in Mumbai. IBA team was led by Shri. Rajkiran Rai. G (MD-CEO, Union Bank of India), Chairman of the Negotiating Committee and from UFBU, representatives of all the nine constituent unions were present. Discussion was held on following points.
Increase in wage hike %age : From our side, we demanded that their earlier offer of 12% is not at all adequate and hence IBA should improve their offer. IBA informed that looking to various constraints of Banks profitability, it would be difficult to improve their offer to which we did not agree. IBA thereafter stated that they would discuss amongst themselves and let us know during the next round of meeting.
Mandate issue: IBA informed that the issue of mandate upto scale VII stands resolved.
Merger of Special Allowance with Basic pay: We insisted that the present special allowance be merged with basic pay while working out the revised pay/scale under the ensuing settlement. IBA informed that our demand can be accepted if the additional cost involved towards superannuation benefits is found to be affordable. It was agreed that the cost would be worked out in detail and a final decision would be taken thereafter.
Improvement in Family Pension: IBA reiterated that they are seized of the matter and already in touch with the different stake holders to get it approved at the earliest possible.
Updation of pension: IBA stated that while they appreciate the demand for updation of pension, looking to the different categories of pensioners of the past ranging from 1986, the cost is very high to which the unions demanded the data to get it calculated from their actuaries. IBA sought the names of the actuaries from UFBU side to whom the data was to be shared for computing the cost.
PLI: From UFBU we pointed out our concerns especially linking ROA as an ingredient for the purpose of working out the performance matrix and creation of more steps in the gross operating profits so that the maximum number of banks get the benefit of PLI. IBA appreciated our view points and agreed to provide us with a revised formula for our consideration, where after the issue would be discussed further.
5 Day Banking: Regarding 5 day banking IBA advised that they are seized of the importance of the issue and assured the unions that they will try to take it forward. However, there were constraints on account of other stake holders. We insisted that this issue should be addressed and resolved on priority.
IBA informed that they would like to sort out all these issues at the earliest so that we can move towards reaching understandings to finalise the settlement. We informed that we would also seek an early settlement provided our justified demands are considered favourably.

This meeting they have asked for the name of the actuary. I think next meeting they will give the name for the actuary. The meeting after that IBA would inform UFBU that the given actuary is not acceptable. Then the next meeting UFBU would come up with another actuary...and the story goes on and on.

In this age of mobile, email and video conferencing I takes them one month to ask to share the name of actuaries. Are they trying to tell us that they couldn't have asked that by email or phone!? I have watched both my bank manager father working 14 hours a day and almost seven days a week for ten years till he retired in 2015. I have been following these wage revision processes for the past ten years and it has become absolutely clear that these 'leaders' are worse than even Indian politicians. Unless they are thrown out and entire union system is completely overhauled there is utterly no hope for the bank employees.

They purposely delay the settlement hand in gloves with IBA just to extract more levy because in most banks levy is a certain percentage of arrears amount. The more the delay the higher is the arrears amount and do more is the levy.
