UFBU CIRCULAR:45 dt.04.02.2015

Is there any assurance that this time Strike will not be cancelled?
Unless IBA offer is satisfactory/upto expctations of comrades
( not to the satisfaction of one constituent of UBFU)
**************************************

IBA BACKTRACKS FROM ITS ASSURANCE –
        OFFERS A PALTRY 0.5% INCREASE
UFBU DECIDES TO REVIVE THE STRIKE PROGRAMMES
CALLS FOR 4 DAYS’ STRIKE FROM 25th to 28th FEBRUARY 2015
INDEFINITE STRIKE FROM 16th MARCH 2015

In our earlier Circular No.UFBU/2015/44 dated 19-1-2015,
we had informed that in the background of the assurance
given by IBA towards expeditious wage settlement and
considering the positive developments since last conciliation meeting
held on 5th January 2015, UFBU had put on hold its call
for 4 days’ strike from 21st January 2015.

In this background another round of negotiations between IBA and UFBU
was held in Mumbai yesterday (i.e., 3rd February 2015).
Subsequent to a general reporting of the discussions held in the meetings
of the three  Sub-Committees on
(i) Employees’ service conditions,
(ii) Officers’ service conditions and
(iii) revised medical reimbursement scheme,

the important issue of further improvement in the wage increase offer
came up for discussion.
IBA sought the view of UFBU about revising its demand from 19.5%
in order to arrive at a final deal.
UFBU informed IBA that the wage increase offer needs to be
substantially improved by IBA as assured and accordingly
UFBU would negotiate further to reach a final accord.
Quoting, once again, the strenuous financial performance of various Banks,
IBA informed that the banks are not in a position to accept the
demand of the UFBU.
After prolonged discussions, IBA finally proposed to improve their
offer from 12.5% to 13% and expected UFBU to scale down its demand.

Since the increase in offer of 0.5% by IBA was paltry, inadequate and not satisfactory, UFBU met thereafter and decided to revive the strike programmes as under:

9th February 2015 Centralised Demonstrations at all centres
13th February 2015 Centralised Demonstrations at all centres
20th February 2015 Badge Wearing & Demonstrations
23rd February 2015 Press Meet in all State capitals
24th February 2015 Centralised Demonstrations at all centres
25th to 28th February 2015 FOUR DAYS’ ALL INDIA BANK STRIKE
2nd to 14th March 2015 Further preparatory programmes
16th March onwards INDEFINITE STRIKE

Comrades, the sincere and persuasive efforts of UFBU to
negotiate a reasonable and mutually acceptable wage increase are
being misunderstood by the IBA and the Government as its weakness.
With utmost patience, for the past two years, UFBU has been making
its best efforts to settle the demands amicably.
At every point of time, we have shown our flexibility.
But unfortunately, it is not being reciprocated by the IBA.

When the entire workforce in the banking industry is making every effort
to implement the various programmes of the Government including
the recent Jan Dhan Yojana, when employees and officers are working
under lot of stress and maximum difficulty due to manpower shortage
and increased volume of work, it is regrettable that the Government
is remaining a passive spectator without initiating any steps to
find an amicable solution to the genuine expectations of  bank employees
for a better and reasonable wage revision.

UFBU has been once again pushed to the path of struggle.
We call upon all our units and the entire membership to rise as one
and plunge into action to implement the programmes successfully.

State-level UFBU meetings should be held immediately to plan out the
steps to be initiated for making all the programmes a total success.

Comrades - March ahead with solidarity and unity –
Let us exhibit clearly that our united movement brings
Success and success alone.....

“WE SHALL FIGHT – WE SHALL FIGHT – TILL WE SUCCEED – WE SHALL FIGHT”

Convener

  7. The agony of bankers is understandable. Telangana state declared super duper wages hike for it's employees. Several trade unions of 2 telugu state governments could able to get plots/sites for their members at the lowest price. Has it happened in any bank so far like that. We the bankers are leading hypocratic life. Several Junior level officers are being harassed by scale 5 & 6 officers. It is just matter of few hours to expose them & to bring their sadism & barbaric biased activities to every one's knowledge. So, comrades, be vigilant. The linkage of NPAs & Xth BPS % growth must be questioned. The officeres who are reverendly supporting the questionable characters in UFBU must realise the damage they are causing to their own family members. In anticipation of Promotions or prime postings, if those officers stoop to such low levels of damaging the life of junior officers who are posting their feelings in these columns, on their reporting, we all will be with them. Don't fear. Come out with your ideas for betterment of bankers. Jai banker. Jai banking.

  17. And moreover

    Nobody...

    Literally Nobody
counts the time given / invested / wasted
In giving general information to public as to
    Where to approach
    Where to go
    What to do..!!
Govt / IBA / Management does not count
Does not take this time into consideration while fixing working hours for emoloyees..

  18. If UFBU leaders are really serious in perusing the negotiations immediately they should have called for relay hunger strikes throughout the length snd breadth of this country as soon as IBA decided to increase 0.5% and should have started applying pressure to central government. Let us not delay anymore. Dont trust on false assurances from IBA.
Any commitment be it in writing. Tall leadets be mentally prepared to get arrested. We shall follow along with our family members and fill prison. Lead us in this endeavor as you have been doing in all other fields. Let us together show our strength of unity to government

  20. It's the time UFBU leaders think of the loyal comrades who have been supporting all the action programmes since all the years and don't forget to make sure that next action to be honestly 19.5% increase at any cost with out any compromise , otherwise dismantle UFBU. .

  22. If IBA is true to its intentions it will not wait for CLC meeting to do away with strike, so what ever stupid promise IBA commits in CLC should be thrown to dogs and strike should continue.

  25. Very bad on the part of IBA.
Banking sector is one of the most risky sector to handle and also has more accountability than other sectors, still the bank employees are being paid the least.
Days will surely come when candidates will give least preference to bank jobs. If we can qualify IBPS exams why cant we qualify state or central govt jobs. The result will be very poor for banking sector as good candidates will move away from bank jobs and only those candidates will join banking sector who will not be able to get state and central govt jobs....

    Result poor banking performance..

    God save the Banking sectr

  30. Why the aam banker does not demand to the government to include the whole banking industry in 7th pay commission. Ufbu is not alone who is fooling the aam banker but they themselves are fooling themselves move a signature campaign in all the various banks to in support of inducting banking pay scales in 7th pay commission then this ubfu and iba won't making much noise qnd pay scales will be revised as per applied pay commission.

  36. We must congratulate the people of Delhi for giving a big kick to Modi &Co. All bankers, their families and friends, united to defeat the bunch of crooks wearing 10 lakh rupee designer suit and insulting the President of USA,who was OUR guest by calling him as Barak. Now same treatment should be given to UFBU jokers. No one should go on strike and let the IBA/Govt decide the increase. The silent majority must now decide not to pay a single paisa to crooked Unions/Associations with immediate effect and leave these rotten orgns. Absolute non-cooperation in any stupid scheme like Jan Dhan Yojana,no late sittings unless adequately compensated.Union/Association leaders must be treated like filthy gutter rats.

Central govt officer = Bank manager Zindabad

    9th bipartiate the slogan was
Central govt clerk = bank manager zindabad

    10th bipartiate the slogan is
Central govt peon = bank manager zindabad

Lovely joke which effects every banker and we cant expect more from our unions.

  41. Unions earlier discloses everything before wage bargaining. Now they are hiding everything except
Discussion on % hike in wage bargaining.

Bank employees also started to hide their salary infront of their friends and relatives

When strike will not give good bargaining why we will sacrifice our salary.
Bankers are going to strike for their wage hike not for unions levy hike

  42. 4 day strike from 25th to 28th feb is also going to be deffered once again because IBA will make UFBU an ullu as usual by offering .5% increase pay slip components. So dear frieds prepare yourself to curse IBA and UFBU for playing nonsense and dirty game.

    ReplyDelete
  43. IBA IS OF RETARDED MIND AND UFBU LEADERS ARE RETIRED. FORTHCOMING STRIKE WILL BE DEFINITELY DEFFERED BECAUSE IBA WILL ONCE AGAIN MAKE UFBU AN ULLU BY OFFERING ONLY .5% THAT MEANS TOTTAL 13.50% INCREASE.
